I spent my childhood living overseas in Germany and Italy as my father served in the United States Army, after being born in Texas. Some other countries I have visited include Switzerland, France, Spain, and Canada. My most unique educational experience took place in Italy when I was 12 years old. My school went on an overnight field trip to Florence, Italy where we learned about and visited the famous Santa Maria del Fiore (Cathedral), Piazza Della Republica (Town Square), Campanile (Bell Tower), Michelangelo’s sculpture David, and the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge).
Some of my hobbies include skiing, writing poetry, and playing board games. I am a very big sports fan and follow the New York Giants, New York Rangers, and New York Yankees. I love to read any kind of poetry, Arthurian literature, early American historic literature, and suspense. My two favorite novels include A Separate Peace by John Knowles and Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. Another interest of mine is music. I listen to a lot of different types ranging from blues to psychedelic rock.
I also umpire baseball. In the spring, summer, and fall I spend a lot of time working with local baseball programs umpiring. I am a certified varsity baseball umpire and have umpired events such as the 10U AAU Super Regional Championship and the 18U Triple Crown Regional Tournament. The best part of baseball is its history. It really is America's pastime! My greatest baseball honor was in 2011, when I was inducted into the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame for volunteering to accompany the Randolph Rampage, a NJ baseball team to Cooperstown, NY to umpire in a national tournament.
